- Summaries (1)
Rita, a kind and simple country woman struggles to keep her dignity while working as a caregiver for a cruel elderly rich man, a stroke victim left wheelchair bound and disabled, who constantly belittles and insults the poor uneducated woman. Keeping the job however becomes increasingly important as Rita's aging husband struggles to find and keep work. Rita must chose between standing up for herself and risking upsetting the old man and losing the couple's one source of income or just quietly doing her job day in and day out while enduring humiliating verbal abuse.
