Character actor Michael Shannon has been nominated for his second Oscar for his role in the 2016 thriller Nocturnal Animals. "No Small Parts" takes a look at some of the other characters he's played in the past.
On his birthday, Stefan is surprised by a visit from Lexi, one of his oldest vampire friends. Still upset by the way events ended at the Halloween haunted house, Elena does her best to stay away from Stefan, but Lexi gives her some unsolicited relationship advice. Meanwhile, both Elena and Jenna are surprised by a change in Jeremy's behavior in the wake of Vicki's "disapearance". But only Elena knows that Damon's mind-wipe powers did something to her brother. At Damon's insistence, Caroline tries to get his medallion back from Bonnie who continues to study her wiccan heritages with her grandmother's help. Elsewhere, Damon's offer to help Sheriff Forbes has sudden and tragic results since she does not know that he is the vampire that she and her circle of hunters are looking for. Written by
When Stefan is standing outside the police station, the police car he's standing by has the number 162 on it. However, after everyone comes out of the station, the car's number changes to 134. See more »
Damon meets Caroline and uses his power to use her to give a party in a bar. Stefan is visited by his old and best friend, the powerful vampire Lexi, who has just arrived in Mystic Falls to celebrate his birthday. Elena and Jena are surprised with the behavior of Jeremy that is studying for the tests. Then Bonnie discloses her abilities to Elena since she is her best friend. Elena visits Stefan and meets Lexi. Damon visits Sheriff Forbes and gives verbena to her. Lexi invites Stefan to go to Caroline's party with her since Elena is not interested in going to there. Damon attacks a couple and leaves the girl alive and she goes with Sheriff Forbes to the party and points to Damon that is having a small talk to Lexi. Sheriff Forbes wrongly believes that Lexi is the vampire that is killing the locals and Damon stakes her on the heart.
"162 Candles" is another good episode of "The Vampire Diaries", with the evil Damon killing Stefan's best friend as part of a plan. The story has silly moments, like Elena feeling bad for not revealing to Bonnie what she knows about Stefan. Unfortunately Lexi was dumped since she was a promising character. Damon seems to have done a good action with Jeremy that is studying again and not using drugs. My vote is eight.
