Trivia

One of the many episodes of Castle (2009) in which an alumni of the "Whedon-Verse" appears alongside Nathan Fillion. D.B. Woodside, who plays Lance Carlberg in this episode, appeared alongside Nathan Fillion in the seventh and final season of Buffy the Vampire Slayer (1997). See more »

Goofs

The killer used what one of the detectives describes as a "poor man's silencer" so that nobody heard the shot - sticking the muzzle of the gun into the neck of a 2-liter plastic soda bottle and firing through the bottom. This will, in fact work - for a 9MM or smaller automatic pistol. But the gun used turns out to be a heavy revolver - probably a .357, which is too powerful for the trick to work. A revolver cannot be effectively silenced, anyway, because the gap between cylinder and frame allows some of the blast to escape. See more »

Quotes

Captain Roy Montgomery: Is that our vic's wife?
Kate Beckett: Fiancée.
Richard Castle: The wife is over there.
Captain Roy Montgomery: Come again?
Kate Beckett: [she and Castle nudge their heads one way] Fiancée.
Captain Roy Montgomery: Mm-hmm.
Kate Beckett: [she and Castle nudge their heads the other way] Wife.
Captain Roy Montgomery: Mm-hmm. Oh, boy.
Richard Castle: [excited whisper] I know. Isn't it delicious?
