Mankind wins by submission with the mandible claw. This match was alright. A lot of it consisted of kicking, punching, and arm holds. It picked up a bit near the end.
Mankind interrupts an interview with Bart Gunn and Jim Ross, and attacks Bart Gunn before officials take him off Gunn.
"Stone Cold" Steve Austin (W/Ted Dibiase) Vs Scott Taylor
Savio Vega joins for commentary. Austin wins easily with the Million Dollar Dream. Vega challenges Austin to a Caribbean strap match. Austin declines so Vega nails Austin from behind with the strap. This was a basic squash match to give Austin some momentum. The arguing between Vega and Lawler was really distracting.
½* (half a star)
Shawn Michaels, The British Bulldog, Jim Cornette & Diana Smith (The British Bulldog's wife) come out for an interview with Vince McMahon. Shawn says nobody thought he could last 60 minutes with Bret Hart, but he was able to adapt and beat Bret. He admits he took an ass kicking from Diesel at In Your House, but he gave Diesel one right back. Jim Cornette claims Shawn tried to sleep with Diana. He says Shawn took Diana to the back, lured her to the corner, then propositioned her. Cornette says Shawn is a sexual deviant and says he tried to deflower Diana. Diana says she knows Shawn wants her. Shawn tells Diana not to flatter herself. Big pop for that. Diana retaliated by slapping Shawn. Shawn says everyone knows who wears the pants in the Smith family. The Bulldog snaps and starts brawling with Shawn. Officials are forced to come in and break it up.
Thoughts: This is a solid personal angle that worked well. Diana is a very wooden actress, though. She looked legitimately uncomfortable.
The New Rockers (Marty Janetty & Leif Cassidy) Vs The Godwinns (W/Hillbilly Jim)
This is a tale of two teams that never got over with the fans. The match ends in a double countout when Sunny comes out and disrupts everything. Sunny was by FAR the most popular thing in this forgettable match.
Mankind says there are 747 pressure points in the human body. In his adolescence, he explored them all. He's surprised at how easy it was to take out The Undertaker.
Issac Yankem (W/Jerry Lawler) Vs The Ultimate Warrior
The Warrior squashes Yankem with a big splash. This would be the end of the line for Yankem, but fret not. After a mediocre run as Fake Diesel, this guy Kane would come along.
I'll give this a 4 out of 10 overall. It's a forgettable show.
