Christine's Wager is the feature directorial debut for Jessica Koloian and Mike Markoff's 50th feature film.
Christine's Wager has some autobiographical elements from the writer's life including his religious awakening from the intellectual arguments and his wife's stroke which occurs to the character, Jennifer Pascal.
The film is set predominantly in the Indianapolis area with many scenic locations including the canal walk, downtown, Broad Ripple and Holliday Park in addition to an iconic bar and restaurant. One scene takes place at the spectacular Cathedral Basilica in St. Louis.
The original name of the film was "Pascal's Major", a reference to the famous argument, Pascal's Wager, and Christine's father who is a retired Army major. Upon input from the writer's daughter, the title was changed to the current name to reflect the central character.
