Storyline

Virginia Creepers examines more than 50 years of television horror hosting in the Commonwealth of Virginia as a reflection of a national cultural phenomenon. The film not only documents shows and personalities but also the transformation of local television programming from a breeding ground for homegrown talent and community involvement to its current state as a corporate cookie cutter. It also documents the rise of the internet host, which began with Virginia's Count Gore De Vol. The film allows actors, producers and fans to tell the story, concentrating on the best tales and gags. More than 100 interviews were conducted over 16 months and the film includes recovered video, audio and stills from as far back as 1958. Written by Anonymous

*Spoiler/plot- Virgina Creepers: The Horror Host Tradition of the Old Dominon, 2009. Explores the local Virginia TV horror show evolution by interviews and clips of the many TV shows.

*Special Stars- Mister Lobo, Ansom Kessinger, Scott McKnew, Jerry Moore. HOST- Mister Lobo.

*Theme- Bad movies go to these shows to die a lingering death.

*Trivia/location/goofs- Documentary. Mr. Lobo is a local horror TV show host in Sacramento California.

*Emotion- A very thorough examining of this local horror TV show and host genre in this Virginia market. Features the 'behind the scenes' evolution of the casting, production and history of local TV's use of non-copyrighted film that have fallen into "public domain" for public broadcast. This film is more comprehensive that any other 'horror TV show hosts' documentaries out there like "American Scary".

*Based On- Public interest and history of local low budget TV show production,
