Kill Katie Malone is a horror film from first time director Carlos Ramos Jr., which deals with a trapped soul and a cursed box. This title will release in the United States on DVD and Blu-Ray December 13th and horror fans might want to take notice. Three friends, Jim (Stephen Colletti), Dixen ( Jonathan 'Lil J' McDaniel) and Ginger (Masiela Lusha), try to solve the mystery of the box, while friends and acquaintances lose their tongues, their body parts or their lives. Proving that curses never die and that they are passed down through families, Kill Katie Malone is an enjoyable time spent in the darkness with a blood-thirsty ghost!

2 September 2011 11:42 AM, PDT | 28 Days Later Analysis | See recent 28 Days Later Analysis news »

Kill Katie Malone was picked up by American World Pictures in October of 2010 for markets. Recently, Phase 4 Films acquired video-on-demand rights for this title for a June 1st release. Now Phase 4 Films is also set to release this horror title on DVD and Blu-Ray December 13th. Dean Cain stars as a college professor, but "he is only in the film briefly" (Horror Talk). Cain's character Robert tries to save his pupils from a malevolent spirit, who has been released by a cursed box. Remember folks, don't buy haunted items on the internet! Special features for the release are sparse with only a trailer. However, this release will be for DVD and Blu-ray formats in both Canadian and Us markets.

There have been a few early reviews of this title. One review at Geek Tyrant by critic Brian S. talks of the "enjoyable twists." Steve Pattee notices "creepy elements, »

Casting is under way for the next movie in the G.I. Joe franchise.

Just recently, a report claimed that former X Factor winner Shayne Ward had tested for an unspecified role.

It's now been confirmed to us that auditions are indeed happening for this next film, G. I. Joe 2: Cobra Strikes.

We are hearing that among the actors who have read for one of the new roles in the script is Danny Arroyo (pictured).

The G.I. Joe action figures have featured in comics and cartoons and Arroyo is a huge fan of geek culture including sci-fi and superheroes.

An ambassador for The Christopher & Dana Reeve Foundation, which helps people with paralysis, Arroyo's credits include Lethal Weapon 4, The Resistance TV series, the kooky comedy Repo Chick and horror thriller Kill Katie Malone.

Danny is currently filming the main lead role in a Christmas family movie called Santa's Dog. »
