Lestat talks of learning from "Assisi, Aquinas, Erasmus," but he pronounces Aquinas in a non-English way ("Ah-KEEN-as") but still as if spelled in the English manner. The Aquinas spelling is pronounced "ah-kwEYE-nus". In French the church father's name is D'Aquin ("da-KA' "). In addition, when he says, "Assisi" he means St Francis of Assisi, and Assisi is not his last name, it's the place he lived in and did his work. He is never referred to as "Assisi" but simply as "Saint Francis".
