Storyline

Mailman Steve Rifton's corpse is found in frying fat, hence extremely decayed over two weeks. He was reported missing for three months. The highly intelligent man's passion was the computer game Punky Pong. He recently lost the world record, which was bitterly contested. Both motive and means require several theories based on forensic findings until things start fitting. Meanwhile Jeffersonian intern Colin Fischer gets three Avatar tickets, which also excites Hodgins and Sweets, so they cover for each-other to take turns standing in line for the best seats. Colin's tent however offers an unexpected alternative 'entertainment' for two. Written by KGF Vissers

Trivia

Sweets, Hodgins, and Fisher camp out in a theater line to see Avatar (2009). Joel David Moore, who plays Fisher on Bones, plays Norm in Avatar. As an in-joke, or ironic twist, Fisher misses the premiere while he's having sex in the tent as everyone else enters the theatre. See more »

Goofs

Brennan and Booth are in Sweets's office getting advice from Sweets about the aggressive video of the other gamer. When Sweets gets the call from Hoggins the camera turns to face Brennan and Booth. The Gamer on the screen clearly sits back in his chair with an slightly annoyed look on his face even after the video was supposed to be paused earlier. See more »

I think it is very funny that Joel Moore, who stars as Colin Fisher in Bones, and in the this episode wins the tickets to Avatar, is in Avatar. He plays Norm Spellman. Obviously Avatar isn't out in theaters yet, but when it is I wonder in "Spellman" will be a similar character to Fisher. I kind of hope he is.

I just think it was clever, and wondered if anyone else picked up on it. I haven't finished this episode yet, but it looks pretty good. Also thought it was funny that Temperance wouldn't look at the body until all the flesh had fallen off.

Anyway, Avatar looks like a great movie.
