TheWrap Party Report catches Wu-Tang Clan, Nick Nolte and Kevin Bacon turning heads Saturday, while Michael Fassbender’s “job” keeps him away from Utah

%u201CIs Ben Silverman somewhere in here?%u201D Donovan Leitch shouted in to the microphone in the sweaty basement of Cisero%u2019s just before midnight on Saturday night.

Best of Late Night TV: Eric Stonestreet, Stephen Amell Play 'Name That Thing'; Keri Russell's 'Inflatable Flip Cup' (Video)

20 January 2015 11:03 PM, PST | Moviefone | See recent Moviefone news »

If you're like us and value your sleep, you probably nodded off into your Ambien dreamland before the party started on post-prime time TV. Don't worry; we've got you covered. Here's the best of what happened last night on late night.

"Modern Family" star Eric Stonestreet and "Arrow" star Stephen Amell were on "Jimmy Kimmel Live" Tuesday night, and they competed in a fun game called "Name That Thing." Spoiler alert! Eric won, but he admitted in one of his individual videos that Stephen probably should've won because the final round was to name a bunch of U.S. Presidents and Stephen is Canadian. Eric said Stephen knows more about the U.S. than Eric does about Canada, so it wasn't quite fair. Eric also talked about pranking his "Modern Family" co-star Jesse Tyler Ferguson, and shared his latest torture, sending him a sex toy in the mail. He's a big football fan, »

Amazon Studios confirms film push

19 January 2015 11:18 AM, PST | ScreenDaily | See recent ScreenDaily news »

Ted Hope has been named head of production at Amazon Original Movies as the company behind Golden Globe winner Transparent plans to produce and acquire 12 original features a year.

Films will launch in theatres and arrive on Amazon Prime Instant Video 30-60 days later in the freshest attack on theatrical exhibition.

Amazon issued a statement that said: “ Whereas it typically takes 39 to 52 weeks for theatrical movies to premiere on subscription video services, Amazon Original Movies will premiere on Prime Instant Video in the U.S. just 4 to 8 weeks after their theatrical debut.”

“We look forward to expanding our production efforts into feature films,” said Amazon Studios. Vice-president Roy Price.

“Not only will we bring Prime Instant Video customers exciting, unique, and exclusive films soon after a movie’s theatrical run, but we hope this programme will also benefit film-makers, who too often struggle to mount fresh and daring stories that deserve an audience.”

Watch: 'Guardians of the Galaxy' Gets the 8-Bit Cinema Treatment

14 January 2015 8:21 AM, PST | firstshowing.net | See recent FirstShowing.net news »

It's a new year, and we have two more Marvel Studios releases to look forward to. We just got a new trailer for The Avengers: Age of Ultron (check out our closer examination of it right here), and a teaser trailer for Ant-Man coming later in the summer. But now we have a cool video from CineFix as part of their ongoing 8-Bit Cinema series, and this one reaches back to 2014 to turn Marvel's surprise sci-fi hit Guardians of the Galaxy into an old school video game. Every single time one of these videos gets released, all I want to do is play a real 8-bit video game version, but that feeling is even stronger for this one. Watch below now! Here's the 8-Bit Cinema version of Guardians of the Galaxy from CineFix: Guardians of the Galaxy is directed by James Gunn (Slither, Super). Brash adventurer Peter Quill finds himself »

Every year, TV networks trot out a raft of new offerings to compete for viewers’ eyeballs — an increasingly difficult task, given the ever-growing number of options available to the public. But even in what some have dubbed the new Golden Age of Television, there are bound to be some shows that are less deserving of your time than others.

In 2015, the viewing public will be faced with choices that include, not one, but two new shows from “Breaking Bad” creator Vince Gilligan; an update on iconic sitcom “The Odd Couple;” and a comedy starring “Saturday Night Live” alum Will Forte »
