Storyline

Lieutenant Patrick Bonanno's wife Wendy gets Nate's help after he was fatally wounded in a mysterious shooting. The team goes after his only unofficial case, corruption in Belbridge, Massachusettes. Mayor Bradford Culpepper III, is up for reelection. His campaign sponsors include Kadjic and real estate entrepreneur Lionel Gitt - actually Nate. Realizing Culpepper's passion is baseball, he pretends to be building a new stadium for a nearby team he's buying, hoping to be bribed with illegal funds. But the team didn't count on another party. Trivia

When Eliot masquerades as a ballplayer, he uses a name that combines the names of the heroes of two baseball movies: the first name "Roy" from Roy Hobbs in The Natural (1984), and the last name "Chapel" from Bill Chapel in For Love of the Game (1999). See more »

Goofs

Eliot's play (collision) at home does not take place in the same ballpark as the game. The background for this shot is not PGE Park, where you would see luxury boxes behind home plate. See more »

Quotes

Nathan Ford: Okay. This is how we're going to take down the mayor.
Alec Hardison: Baseball?
Nathan Ford: Yeah, we're going to steal this ballpark.
[Nate starts to walk away, then comes back]
Nathan Ford: And then the team. Not necessarily in that order.
