User Reviews

Very funny, from start to finish, for guys and gals.
10 April 2011 | by (Boston) – See all my reviews

When I go to see a comedy, I'm usually satisfied if I get a good two or three laughs. So it's such a pleasant surprise to laugh so many times that I lose count, and to talk with friends after the film and laugh again as you recall your favorite scenes. Also, as a guy, I usually find romantic comedies tailored for women, but this film is just as funny for guys as it is for gals.

Another challenge for these types of comedies, is for the lead male and female characters to be believable, given their crazy circumstances. In "Losing Control" Miranda Kent and Reid Scott do such a fantastic job of acting, that I liked both of them, and was rooting for them. Not to mention all the other characters, who were hilarious as well.

Additionally, I really appreciated the musical score which compliments the story very well. There is one particular scene where the female lead is alone and sad. The melancholy background music so nicely amplifies that feeling, that I got deeply drawn into the story.

Whenever I see a movie which successfully puts all of these factors together, I know the directing is top notch, which it is here.

I can't wait to see it again.
