Heather Langenkamp is a remarkable woman. She is best known for playing Nancy Thompson, the lead in A Nightmare on Elm Street (1984). Her portrayal of a teenager being attacked in her dreams, then for real by a dead, severely burned, child murderer was nothing short of groundbreaking for that era. At a time when the vast majority of scream queens in horror films of that time period were either playing the helpless victim or the eye candy, Heather’s “Nancy” was a strong, no-nonsense fighter who wouldn’t roll over and die. She took on the plight of teenagers in America, helping to portray them as strong and self-reliant, and showing they need to be heard and understood.
The original dream girl, Heather Langenkamp, who became an instant genre icon with her work on the Nightmare on Elm Street series, is the newest guest added to the Rock and Shock 2012 roster.
Langenkamp joins fellow horror standouts Michael Berryman (The Hills Have Eyes) and Sid Haig (House of 1,000 Corpses) as the newest genre icon added to the list. Also joining the group since the original announcement are former Kiss drummer Peter Criss, David Naughton (An American Werewolf in London) and Brian O'Halloran (Brutal Massacre: A Comedy, Clerks) as the newest names added to the ever growing list of celebs who will be awaiting fans at the popular Worcester, Massachusetts, event on October 12-14 at the Dcu Center.
The rock part of Rock and Shock is also coming together as the first bands have been announced. Thus far fans can look forward to performances by Gwar, The Misfits, DevilDriver, Alesana, »

The makers of Never Sleep Again: The Elm Street Legacy, writer/director Daniel Farrands and producer Thommy Hutson, are at it again with a new documentary in their sights that takes a look at a franchise both of them have prior experience at chronicling: Friday the 13th. Panic Productions and Hutson Ranch Media have announced that they have begun filming on Crystal Lake Memories: The Complete History of Friday the 13th, a definitive documentary chronicling all 12 Friday the 13th films as well as the 80s television series the series spawned. »
We've just gotten word that the documentary Crystal Lake Memories: The Complete History of ‘Friday the 13th’ began filming on April 24th in Los Angeles, New York, Connecticut and Vancouver.
Inspired by author Peter M. Bracke’s bestselling book, this comprehensive retrospective from Panic Productions and Hutson Ranch Media promises to be the definitive look at the making of the iconic horror franchise.
From its inception in 1980, the Friday the 13th film series has proven to be as unstoppable at the box office as its hockey-masked, machete-wielding villain Jason Voorhees, who has terrorized the fictional town of Crystal Lake for more than 30 years. Since then, Friday the 13th has become a true multimedia juggernaut, having spawned twelve feature films, a syndicated television drama, and an extensive line of merchandise and collectibles. What’s more, revenue figures are as staggering as they are relentless: over 95 million tickets sold and nearly $600 million »
