- One team musters up the courage to reveal a personal secret to the others, and another Racer breaks down in tears as the stress of the Race mounts.
- The six remaining teams travel from Dubai, United Arab Emirates to Vierhuizen de Marne, Netherlands. One team becomes brave enough to reveal a personal secret to the others. As the race's stress goes up, another person breaks down in tears.—Allister Coots
- Teams must fly from Dubai to Amsterdam and find a monument in Afsluitdijk. The first flight leaves that night at midnight, so all the teams end up at the airport together. At the airport Big Easy tells everyone the story of Mika and the water slide. Gary & Matt tell everyone they are gay.
In Amsterdam teams drive a Mercedes to Afsluitdijk. Brian has trouble figuring out how to start his Mercedes. They next must drive to Groningen and find the town's tallest building, the Martinitoren.
Next up is a Roadblock: A team member must climb to the top of the Martinitoren and count all of the bells inside the building. Once they come up with the right number (62) the organist will give them their next clue.
Meghan and Sam are the first team reps start the Martinitoren and decide to count bells together. Flight Time, Matt and Tiffany each count for their respective teams. Brian & Ericka are just now arriving at the building in their Mercedes. Ericka is given bell counting duty.
When Sam and Meghan get to the top of the building the bells begin ringing which seems to distract them. Matt is first to give the correct number of bells to the organist and gets the next clue: Teams must drive to a windmill in Vierhuizen De Marne.
Meghan and Sam give the correct number of bells to the organist. On their way out of the building Sam tells Tiffany the number of bells. Gary & Matt are having trouble getting directions as Tiffany gives the number to the organist and gets the clue. Flight Time gives the correct number to the organist. Ericka's first guess is 43, so she goes back to counting.
Sam & Dan are first to the windmill and receive the Detour info: Teams must choose between Famer's Game or Farmer's Dance. In Farmer's Game they have to swim across a body of water and play three holes of farmer's golf, each in eight strokes or less. In Farmer's Dance they must ring a bell on a high striker before learning a folk dance to perform in front of a crowd. If their instructor is happy with the performance they will receive a meal of salted herring which they have to eat before getting their next clue.
The first three teams at the Detour begin putting on their traditional Dutch clothing for the Detour. Ericka's second guess for the number of bells is 56. Maria & Tiffany get their Detour clue. Sam & Dan are first to start the swim to the golf course, followed by Meghan & Cheyne. Sam & Dan finish the first hole in eight strokes. Ericka is wrong on yet another bell guess.
Gary & Matt start learning how to dance as Maria & Tiffany put on their traditional garb. Ericka has a mini-meltdown and Brian has to talk her down. Sam & Dan get through their second hole, while Meghan & Cheyne struggle.
Sam & Dan are done with golf and see that the Pit Stop is a harbor in Zoutkamp. Meghan & Cheyne finally finish their first hole. As they begin their dance lesson, Matt realizes the herring aspect of the challenge and they elect to change to golf. Meghan & Cheyne finish the golf. Maria & Tiffany are having trouble with the high striker. The Globetrotters decide to do the Farmer's Dance. Ericka finally gets the number of bells correct.
Sam & Dan are first to get to Phil. For winning the leg they win a sand buggy. After 30 failed attempts at the bell, Maria & Tiffany switch to golf. The Globetrotters have no trouble with the bell and start getting their dance lessons. Meghan & Cheyne are No. 2 to finish the leg.
Brian & Ericka finally get the Detour info and pick Farmer's Dance. Gary & Matt and Maria & Tiffany are struggling with the golf. The Globetrotters get their dance right and start attacking the herring.
Gary & Matt are through hole No. 2, but Maria & Tiffany are having no luck and decide to return to the dance. The Globetrotters choke down their herring and head towards Phil. Maria & Tiffany still can't get the bell after more than 50 strokes and are starting to break down emotionally.
Brian & Ericka didn't realize they were supposed ride bikes to the Detour. The Globetrotters get to Phil in third place as Gary & Matt finish their golf. Maria & Tiffany still can't get the bell figured out and go back to the golf. Gary & Matt get to Phil in fourth. Brian & Ericka have no trouble with the bell and start their dance lessons. Brian & Ericka polish off their herring, while Maria & Tiffany still cannot figure out the farmer's golf.
Brian & Ericka get to Phil in fifth, but get a 30 minute penalty for not using the bicycles. They must sit and wait for 30 minutes before checking in. Ericka is not handling the wait well, but it looks as if Maria & Tiffany have all but given up. Brian & Ericka finally get to check-in fifth and stay in the race.
Maria & Tiffany quit the race. Phil arrives at the golf course to officially eliminate them.
