Inspired by the M.R James short story 'A Warning to the Curious'
All the interior sequences were actually filmed at the Powdermills Hotel, Battle, East Sussex. The hotel exterior shots were filmed at Birling Gap, East Sussex, to convey a more bleak hotel atmosphere near the oceans edge.
Filming took place over 30 days. All exterior filming was shot in East Sussex. Prime locations had already been sourced a few months earlier. Rye Harbour (estuary) proved the most difficult location to film, due to daily activities and noise frequently interrupting 'takes' on what should be a desolate estuary for the stories setting.
The films launch is in unison with the Raystede animal shelter charity. All proceeds from the launch party will be attributed accordingly.
