Goofs

When "quantum physicist genius" Simon (Dominic Monaghan) tries to use the Schrödinger's Cat thought experiment to explain quantum superposition to Camille (Ashley Jones), he makes errors which negate its explanatory power. For instance, instead of a being enclosed in a sealed box shielded against environmentally induced quantum decoherence, he has her imagine a kitten enclosed in her hand; and instead of an unpredictable quantum event (radioactive decay) being escalated into a macroscopic cat poisoning event, he has her imagining the kitten choosing whether or not to eat a poisoned sardine. Having made a nonsense of Schrödinger's elegant thought experiment by dumbing down, Simon nonetheless succeeds in seducing Camille. See more »
