Sam and Dean investigate a series of odd murders that strangely resemble fairy tales and urban legends. The brothers track down an 11-year-old boy named Jesse, and realize that whatever Jesse believes is coming true. Castiel appears again and tells Sam and Dean that Jesse is a serious threat and needs to be eliminated which deeply disturbs and divides them since it is against the Winchester brothers' custom of killing a human.
- The Road So Far
Honestly, if you don't know what's going on at this point... But for those that love repetitive summaries, we're reminded that Sam picked Ruby over Dean, thus releasing Lucifer. Then starts a montage of Dean and Sam fighting together, as Sam explains they need to work together if they want to survive and stop the apocalypse.
The scene opens on a young girl sitting in front of a TV in Alliance, Nebraska. She begins to absently brush her hair, while completely captivated by the movie she's watching (Kujo). As she brushes, a clattering noise catches her attention. Slowly, she gets up and stalks towards the hall closet, looking around anxiously. She calls out "Jimmy" as she approaches the closet; it trembles again. She opens the door and looks down at a bloody child lying in the closet, an arrow through his head. She gives an annoyed sigh, saying, "I told you to go to bed". The kid was just playing a prank on her; he's covered in ketchup, and she sends him off to bed, then returning to Kujo. From outside, a dog begins to bark wildly. She gets up and looks outside; nothing. It's a quiet, still night.
Cut to a static screen on the TV. A husband and wife come into the dark living room, where we see the babysitter lying on the couch. The husband elects to take her home, and tries to wake her up. He reaches down to shake her, when his hand touches something damp. He turns on the light, and sees blood on his fingers. He tentatively rolls her over, where we see her head has been clawed open.

We cut to Sam and Dean as FBI Agents Page and Plant, asking the coroner to see the babysitters body. The coroner asks why, and Sam says that the report said something clawed through her skull. It comes out the boys haven't read the autopsy report, blaming it on 'server issues'. The coroner brings out the body, explaining originally they assumed she was attacked by a wolf, or something. The coroner holds up a bag. "Is that-" Sam starts, looking a little sickened. "A press-on nail," the coroner confirms. "We found it in her temporal lobe."
