Very unoriginal and lazy writing borderline absurd.

Warning: Spoilers
They just need to retitle the season. '10 More Stupid Thing Bodie Does with Keys'

Have they not learned by now to keep all the keys away from Bodie? EVERY time he gets his hands on one things go to hell in a hand basket.

This is writing at it's laziest, seeming to copy off an old template, rinse and repeat.

What is this writing even

So you want to tell me Bode walked up to the bad guy after going in the past and after having talked with the bad guy for a while he goes "this isn't supposed to happen, you're supposed to go through the door with person A and person B". This whole scene just confused me... He can't be seriously thinking that nothing chances after having literally spilled out the future, he can't be that dumb right?

Lazy writing

Warning: Spoilers
Why are writers this lazy. The mom-is-not-allowed-a-new-partner-after-death-of-my-dad cliché, Boy-makes-dumb-decision (can't learn) cliché and the let-us-lie-and-let-our-brother- feel-excluded-and-lied-to cliché.

So Stupid & Frustrating
KalpeshHemant414 August 2022
I thought I would give season 3 a chance.

By gosh this episode was AWFUL:

The family not communicating once again (amateur trope), the characters being so daft AGAIN, ZERO character development and the writing is TERRIBLE again!

I'm not going to bother finishing this series now. It's too painful to watch this nonsense. The keys are what makes the show, they are barely used and now there are too MANY to keep a track of or remember as a viewer! NONE used for plain in sight solutions to their self-inflicted situations.

Sigh. Waste of time.

Characters continuing to make stupid decisions
moonkiwielmo14 August 2022
This was extremely frustrating to watch just because the main characters, in particular Bode and the insufferable mother, just continue to make downright stupid decisions. No character development from the first season. Painful to watch really.

It's frustrating

Warning: Spoilers
I feel like there is absolutely no character development, every time the storyline has to go on it happens by one main character being absolutely and completely stupid. The story already felt exhausting in the second season but by now it's a cramp to keep watching. Nothing changes, always new keys that are used stupidly instead of using the keys they have properly. The basic concept is great, but nothing is done with it. The main element of the series are the keys, but you see them used too rarely. Often the ghost key, the flight key, or even the snow globe would be the salvation or the solution to problems, but no, Bode as well as Tyler and Kinze are cognitively absolutely limited do not recognize the clearest connections, which simply hurts as a viewer. The end of the episode is completely horrible, how can a character repeatedly do absolutely stupid things and not learn. I know he wanted to flex that they win but why does no one ever think about possible consequences?

Who wrote this one?

The Worst tv episode of 2022!

Well they tried to do something interesting (really at first it felt like that!) but instead the mr. Great writer made the stupidest scenario!

This is my goodbye
TigerZoo15 September 2022
Warning: Spoilers
Okay, I've had enough. Enough of the non-communicating family, enough of the artificial dramas ( alcoholism? Out of nowhere? Seriously?), enough of the stupid decisions ( yes, Bode, you. Come on, anyone thinks going back to time just to laugh at the face of the enemy is a good, logical step in that scenario? Instead of meeting with the father? ), enough of the bad acting ( and i mean bad, baaaad acting ) , and most importantly enough of the bad writing. The concept of the show is brilliant, the key magic is special, but that's it.

This show is over to me. Good job Netflix, another one massacred.

I'm glad it's ending (lazy writing)

Warning: Spoilers
Stupidest series episode that I've seen ever. It's the same thing since the promising season 1. Dodge over and over and over and over. Can't they settle on a decent new bad guy? This reminds me of the TV show Heroes.

It's Sylar, over and over. Methinks the writers come from that same cloth.

Unbelievable how utterly lacking in imagination these writers are. This show had so much promise but devolved to the same stupid characters with no growth making the same stupid decisions again and again. Ugh. I'm tapping out. With so little time left, they went back to the same evil guy/well yet again. Bode is the just the worst. Writers thought this is cute to let Dodge run around rampaging as the most annoying Locke. Boo. I used to like this show and now I can't stand it.

This story just runs around and around
dusadomovine20 August 2022
What is the point of season three? More of the same old crap. We still do not have a clear idea of the true nature and purpose of the keys. Just lots of stupid children running around and around. There is no coherent central plot. The only thing that is consistent is teenaged girls wearing tight pants and showing off belly. Silly.

Back to season 2's infuriating plot line
benlukeallen14 August 2022
Again they have managed to twist the storyline to a ridiculous stupid scenario. We have decided to stop watching after this episode. The concept of this series has so much potential. Ruined by another unimaginative and incredibly dumbfounded storyline.

Good season..but that was really stupid
garabedian12323 August 2022
Warning: Spoilers
I actually like season 3 so far. Except for the mom relapse thing...And now this. Even though i might have done the same thing after Duncan tells him you are not really time traveling...but clearly he was. Still...to go back to season 2 is not the direction i thought we were headed. Its only 1 season. They are ripping off 1 season ago..lame...And boy is Bodie;s math bad.

IF he wanted to see his father...he only went back 2 months. Roman numerals are not that different that such an error could be believable..

And yes dodge was a great villain...but it was only 1 season ago.

Amd what was Bodies plan anyway. If Dodge having seen Bodie pass the ghost door, would just simply close it and lock bodie away forever. I dont understand what he thought she was thinking.

This is where I tap out
btzarevski15 August 2022
Warning: Spoilers
I was already annoyed at all the stupid actions and decisions of the main characters at the end of season 2 so was feeling lukewarm about season 3. Thought I'd still give it a go but was afraid it would succumb to the samey bad-guy-takes-over-other-form-and-now-noone-knows-is-the-bad-guy that season 2 was exhaustingly filled with. Sadly I was proven right. Episode 1 was ok. Episode 2 I started to skip ahead some parts especially the filler romance, teen angst bits that never come across interesting or genuine. Also Duncan is gay?? Am I just not remembering this about his character from the last season or did the writers decide to shoe-horn in a needless social narrative? But anyway, worryingly the dreaded trope is indeed back - the bad guys are now gonna blend in so no one will know they're bad. Episode 3 though is too much. The agonizingly stupid decisions are back (I'm looking at you Bode) and Dodge, yes the same Dodge we took far too long to finally get rid of last season is now back again but she takes over Bode's body so, you guessed it, no one will know it's her and we'll have to endure the whole reveal being dragged out for god-knows how many episodes. I'm sorry but I just can't. It's the same plot lines with the characters continuously being dumb and too much filler dragging episodes out.

I might be done after this episode
BetaMaxine13 March 2023
Warning: Spoilers
I find myself talking to the television when character after character continues to do stupid thing on this show. Granted, Bode is the youngest but what was he thinking?!? Why, of all the points in time to go back to he chooses the time their plan failed. Rather than helping his family, he tells Dodge how they defeated it allowing Dodge to escape and change the past. Did it not occur to him that since he can interact with the people in the past that he can also change the outcome? Ugh. Also, if Uncle Duncan knows about the time travel key and how dangerous it can be why give him It to Nina to keep safe? Nina then puts the dangerous key in an easy to find bag in her closet. Really frustrating ending to this episode. Do I want to keep watching?

Irritating
lboe-046901 April 2023
Warning: Spoilers
Just finished the episode and I am so annoyed. Season 3 and the characters have learned NOTHING! The keys are powerful. Protect them. Use them wisely. Not these people. They continue making the same bad choices over and over. If it's not Kinsey, it's Bode, and now the mom since she knows, too.

I thought the episode had a glimmer of possibility when Tyler went to the police station and was taking to the BF. After that, it went downhill. Are we really out of ideas to bring back Dodge??? Ugh. That chapter was closed at the end of season 2, but here she is again. Now the characters are going to have an echo, a demon, and a few henchmen to deal with. Greeeaaattt. Can't wait to see how 'Bode' handles the next episode. SMH.
