Very Very Disturbing., 14 January 2014
Author: cabvol

I'm not going to give away the plot or the ending so feel free to read on.

This is a really disturbing film and I found it quite upsetting several times, nevertheless I felt compelled to watch it to the end. It's not the kind of film I could ever watch again, I do watch a lot of horror films and am not usually disturbed by them but this film is made almost like a documentary and the scenes of violence are very realistic, as a result of this realism it really got under my skin.

Once in my life I was unfortunately exposed to brutal violence and my reaction was nausea and trembling coupled with tears of relief when the incident was finished, that is my real life experience of violence, now this film was able to create a similar feeling within me, such is the realism of what's shown that I was feeling quite nauseous and nearly turned it off after the second murder scene, I think it's to do with the actor who portrays the killer because he does it so well that he succeeds in being utterly terrifying. Please be careful before you watch this film as it is very graphic and there is a huge amount of violence towards women, if you are easily upset or disturbed I would recommend you avoid this film. It is well acted and cleverly filmed, the music score is also good but as I said it just got too much for me, I can only give four stars because I can't say I was entertained by it and the ending was very disappointing.
