It doesn't get a lot better than this!

This is a wonderful little short--just the sort of wacky and unique thing that makes me glad I compulsively waste time reviewing films!! Daniel F. Scherl not only stars in the film, but he co-wrote, directed, produced and even did some of the music for the film. Despite seeming like it's all a one-man project, there are also a lot of aspiring actors here as well and the total package is great--something you MUST see. I mean it. Drop everything and see it NOW!!

The film purports to be an informercial that teaches anyone how to be a great film director. What I particularly loved is that it never talks about editing (which the director usually oversees), setting up shots or planning. Instead, it focuses on what's REALLY important--the director's "look", the sunglasses, the importance of net letting anyone sit in your chair (which, by the way, is grounds for murder--the director's lawyer says so). It's all very tongue-in-cheek and clever throughout. What I also liked is that this isn't a very short film--at about 20 minutes, it gives lots of time to hash out the film and make it all seem kind of real.

Overall, brilliant from start to finish--a terrific film that speaks well for the futures of all connected with the project. Oh, and pay close attention to the name of the law firm in the film--it's one of the most appropriate I've ever heard of and will make all but dead folks laugh.

GREAT!!!
