I didn't sleep for days after seeing this tense mini thriller. Excellent conception, execution and delivery in every way. It even made my popcorn taste better!
Blair kept my attention on the table, the chair, the dark doorway and even on her eyelashes. She has a command of her facial expressions that torture the viewer with every anguish that her character senses.
The camera techniques, lighting and color all remind me of the great films of the 1940s and 1950s, like The Maltese Falcon, Psycho, Night of the Living Dead, and Horror Castle with their "candle's about to go out quality".
The set could be anywhere in San Francisco, LA, New York, or Duiseburg, but it feels like home. It puts you there and sets you up for the big fall. And what a fall it is.
