All of the music featured in the film comes from Seattle-based artists, including The Presidents of the United States of America's re-working of their song "Supermodel," called "Supersonics," which features play-by-play audio from Kevin Calabro in the background.
In April 2011, at a book signing for Howard Schultz's new book "Onward," a disgruntled Sonics fan managed to get to the front of the line and berated Schultz for his role in the Sonics' departure. Although not connected to the man who created the incident, "Sonicsgate" producer Adam Brown was filming the incident at the time, and at the behest of Schultz, was asked to leave.
Won a Webby Award for Best Sports Film. Accepting on behalf of the film, former Sonics legend Gary Payton gave the speech, saying simply, "Bring back the Seattle Supersonics!" This was met with raucous applause from the New York City audience.
