I didn't really care for it all that much

Live from Charleston, South Carolina

Your commentators are Jim Ross & Bob Caudle

The Southern Boys (Tracy Smothers & Steve Armstrong) Vs The Fabulous Freebirds

The Southern Boys pick up the upset victory. I was surprised by the victory for The Southern Boys. The crowd was rather hot for them as well. As far as the match goes, it was alright.

**1/4 out of 5

Bam Bam Bigelow (W/Sir Oliver Humperdink) Vs Tommy Rich

Tommy Rich wins by DQ. This was a very weird finish. Tommy Rich did NOT need a win in any fashion over Bigelow at this stage of his career. This was just crappy booking all around.

* out of 5

We get a segment with El Gigante (Giant Gonzalez) He gives us a quick interview with ring announcer, Gary Michael Capetta doing the translating.

The Z-Man & Mike Rotunda Vs The Samoan Swat Team

The Z-Man & Mike Rotunda win. Well, at least this was relatively a short match. The Samoan Swat Team probably should have gone over here to be honest.

*1/2 out of 5

'Mean' Mark Callous(W/Paul E. Dangerously) Vs 'Flyin' Brian Pillman

Mean Mark is The Undertaker. Mean Mark wins with a stun gun. This was decent stuff from these two. I rather enjoyed it. Callous and Pillman meshed pretty well together.

**1/2 out of 5

United States Tag Team Championship

The Midnight Express (W/Jim Cornette) (C) Vs The Rock & Roll Express

Rock & Roll wins by DQ after Stan Lane from The Midnight Express grabs the referee. A cheap finish aside, this was a a fine match between these two. There was plenty of excitement and lots of action.

***1/4 out of 5

Barry Windham Vs Doug Furnas

Windham wins with a back suplex, using his feet on the ropes for leverage. This was a nifty little match for the time that it got. Furnas actually looked pretty strong in defeat here.

**1/4 out of 5

Lex Luger Vs Sid Vicious (W/Ole Anderson)

Luger wins in mere seconds with a running lariat. This was very peculiar booking. I'm not sure why you'd book a legit monster like Sid to lose in seconds. Oh, well.

Tag Team Championship

Doom (C) (Ron Simmons & Butch Reed) (W/Teddy Long) Vs The Steiner Brothers

Doom retains the title after Butch Reed nails Scott Steiner with a foreign object. Not as good as some previous encounters between these two, but it was still decent.

**1/2 out of 5

Arn Anderson Vs Paul Orndorff

Orndorff wins by reversing an inside cradle. Meh. I thought this match was average at best. Jim Ross called it one of the best matches of the evening, but I thoroughly disagree.

** out of 5

World Heavyweight Championship

Ric Flair (C)(W/Ole Anderson) Vs The Junkyard Dog

JYD wins by DQ after The Four Horsemen come out and attack JYD. Sting, Lex Luger, and Paul Orndorff run out to even the odds and make the save. Well, I enjoyed the atmosphere, even if the match wasn't that great. JYD didn't sell much of Flair's offense and he felt like a threat.

*1/2 out of 5

Sting claims he wants a shot at Ric Flair's title at The Great American Bash. He says he'll beg Flair if he has to. Ric Flair tries a sneak attack from behind, but Sting is ready for it. He dominates Sting before the show goes off the air.

This is the definition of an average show. The Sting and Flair buildup is fun, but everything else aside from the match between The Midnight and Rock & Roll express isn't all that great.
