The Fabulous Freebirds Vs The Roadwarriors (W/Paul Ellering)

The Freebirds win by DQ. The abrupt finish was seriously lame. This was actually fun to watch while it lasted. It's just too bad they got cut short like they did here.

**

Terry Funk says the only thing he and Ric Flair have in common is their love for professional wrestling. Gary Hart tells Terry Funk not to let him down. Funk says he won't, but says he doesn't need his or anybody else's help.

Sting wins an award for being the most popular wrestler in the AWA. Likewise, Ric Flair wins an award for being the wrestler of the decade.

Woman says Rick Steiner is gonna pay and that no tagteam can come close to Doom. She claims that all men wish they had her.

Doom (W/Woman) Vs Tommy Rich & Eddie Gilbert

Doom is comprised of Ron Simmons & Butch Reed. Doom ends up winning. This was a competitive match, if nothing else. It was pretty mediocre, though. Woman is sure nice to look at.

*1/2

Jim Cornette interviews The Steiner Brothers. Rick Steiner gets a good insult in on Woman near the end. "I had it and I don't want it"

The Midnight Express Vs The Dynamic Dudes (Johnny Ace & Shane Douglas)

The Midnight Express win after Jim Cornette interferes. As much as I hate Johnny Ace, this match was pretty damn decent. Shane Douglas carried most of the load for the Dynamic Dudes and it became rather exciting at times.

**1/2

"Dr. Death" Steve Williams Vs The Super Destroyer

Williams wins easily with a running powerslam. This was a squash match for the most part. Williams doing pushups with the destroyer was pretty cool, though.

3/4*

The Skyscrapers (W/Teddy Long) Vs The Steiner Brothers

The Skyscrapers are Sid Vicious & Danny Spivey. The match ends in a DQ when Doom and The Road Warriors interfere. The Steiner's did their suplex thing, and it was fun to watch as always. Spivey was pretty sloppy.

*1/2

The Steiner Brothers and The Road Warriors vow to watch each other's backs and take care of Doom and The Skyscrapers.

United States Championship.

Lex Luger (C) Vs Brian Pillman

Luger wins after hitting Pillman with a chair. Luger inflicts more damage with the chair after the match until Sting runs out and makes the save. Sting says he and Luger used to be friends, but that was before Luger turned out to be a real jerk. Subsequently, Sting slaps Luger and brawls with him before Luger retreats. Aside from the cheap ending, I don't have much to complain about when it comes to this match. It was fairly solid stuff.

**3/4

World Heavyweight Championship (I Quit Match)

Ric Flair (C) Vs Terry Funk (W/Gary Hart)

Flair wins after Terry Funk says I quit while in the Figure Four leg-lock. Gary Hart turns on Terry Funk after the match. Flair comes to Funk's aid, but The Great Muta runs in to make it 2 on 1. Sting comes in and evens the odds until Lex Luger runs in and hits Sting and Flair with chairs. The heels stand tall.

Thoughts: Even though it's rather tame for today's standards, it's still a great match. Funk and Flair beat the hell out of each other during this match and I applaud their efforts.

***3/4

This is a decent show. It has a great main event and a couple of fun undercard matches. If you have the WWE Network, I'd give this show a look.

6/10
