Interview: Lovely Lorraine Lea Thompson is ‘Back to the Future’

Chicago – Everybody’s favorite 1950s Mom – besting June Cleaver by a mile – is Lorraine from “Back to the Future.” And who was the embodiment of that class act? Lea Thompson, who met admirers at the Hollywood Blvd Cinema in Woodridge, Il, last weekend.

Lea Thompson seems poised on the edge of a another career shift. The ebullient sitcom survivor – she was Caroline in the City, don’t you know – is excited about some current projects. She has a new pilot for the TNT Network called “Uncle Nigel,” she is doing a movie called “The Convincer” with Alan Arkin, Bob Balaban, Greg Kinnear and Billy Crudup and she produced a movie called “Mayor Cupcake” with her children.

Samuel Beckett's Waiting for Godot, widely considered the most significant play of the 20th Century, centers around two men who are waiting for someone (or something) named Godot who may (or may not) ever arrive. Beckett's landmark drama, by turns lyrical and earthly, profound and comic, poses essential questions about the meaning of our existence in an absurd universe.
