R. Lee Ermey (r.) drills Matthew Modine in Full Metal Jacket.

Full Metal Jacket 25thAnniversary Blu-ray Book is the latest edition of Stanley Kubrick’s (Barry Lyndon) 1987 war film saga about the Vietnam conflict and the dehumanizing process that turns people into trained killers.

The war drama stars Matthew Modine (Hemingway’s Garden of Eden), Adam Baldwin (Independence Day), Vincent D’Onofrio (Kill the Irishman), Dorian Harewood (Mayor Cupcake) and Arliss Howard (TV’s Rubicon) as Marine recruits who experience boot-camp hell under the punishing command of an intense drill sergeant  R. Lee Ermey (Seven) before being sent off to the savage war in Vietnam.

The anniversary edition of the film (Warner first issued it on Blu-ray in 2007) is showcased in premium Blu-ray Book packaging with 44 pages that include a personal letter and reflections from star Modine, along with behind-the-scenes photos. »
