Archie rolled the dice on this one.
4 October 2013 | by (victoria b.c canada) – See all my reviews

Archie rubs the gang the wrong way, when he starts spending more time with his car Betsy, than his friends. On a Friday date night with Veronica, he forgets to meet her, and goes to a mysterious shop to buy a pair of fuzzy dice. They look harmless on the outside, but what Archie doesn't realize is, the dice have mystical powers. The dice give Betsy a mind of his own and brings the Machine to life. The car becomes dangerously attached to Archie, becoming insanely jealous when Archie chooses his friends over the car, and the car targets the gang's livelihood.

This one is extremely silly, but so much fun! For those that have followed Archie as long as I have, in the old skits, Archie had a Jalopy in lieu of a convertible like he has here. I was quite impressed at the witty lines they gave the car, Betsy. Even though it was a cartoon, I couldn't help but feel a little unsettled by it. Something about moving vehicles without a conscience, gives me the willies. It might be those glaring headlights shining brightly at you, or it might be the fact that they move so fast, perhaps a bit of both. I did laugh at the car spewing oil on Veronica. Of course in reality, you would never see a guy turn down to hot girls in favor of his car, unless you're overly narcissistic, but even then. Females tend to win. But that's what I enjoyed about it. It's engagingly silly, and a blast to watch. Chuck & Nancy make an appearance on here, but it's very succinct.

Bottom Line: This one is a lot of goofy fun, and it will put a smile on your face.

7.7/10
