Storyline

Dan gets cranky when Toadie rudely bugs him about reassuring Susan's insecurity whether the surrogate pregnancy issue satisfies everybody yet. After the disastrous make up-party with badly-digested dairy, Declan and Didge feel guilty, sleep badly and bicker over her repeated lack of consideration for his opinion, as whether to ask godparents. They count on the Parker family visit to country home village Oakie to relax. But a stray horse causes Steve's car to have a serious accident. Written by KGF Vissers

Not quite sure what the point is of starting off with the car crash. To build up tension presumably but aside from a couple of moments when you think "You're going to regret doing that..." it doesn't really work.In fact, it's easy to forget how the characters are going to end up once you get into the main action of the episode. There's some nice interaction between Bridget and Declan, with the former coming across as somewhat blinkered by blaming Declan for everything.Nice scene of Miranda and Steve listening to them making up and then arguing on the baby monitor as well.Nice girl thing/guy thing contrast with Miranda and Bridget having a heart-to-heart while Steve and Declan work out.

The scenes with Susan and Dan are quite interesting.Toadie is a shade too beefy in tackling Dan but it needs to a nice conversation between Dan and Susan, with the latter actually stopping and thinking about someone else's point of view for once.

The episode misses a real trick by not finishing on the car crash though. The last shot might not look good for the Parkers but it still drags on past the initial shock moment.
