Pedestrian XXX treatment of Pygmalion theme
lor_28 July 2017
Recipient of a ridiculous six AVN award nominations, "Educating Alli" is a Wicked vehicle for contract star Alektra Blue directed mechanically by Brad Armstrong. Promise of an interesting feature is dashed by casting Randy Spears in the lead, and utterly flat writing and direction.

As often is the case, there is no screenplay credit displayed, yet Brad received a Best Screenplay award nomination for his writing. Go figure.

Very conventional script has Alektra quarreling with and abandoned in a diner by her boyfriend (uncredited actor, as usual for NonSex acting), only to be picked up by oily Spears who is condescending to her from the git-go. But an offer of a free apartment to stay in till she gets back on her feet can't be refused by our down and out heroine.

Yet it is a room in his mansion that she receives, something of a continuity error but full speed ahead. He takes her shopping, has very tall & beautiful blonde Tanya James groom her, takes her shopping and turns the scruffy Alektra as Allison into a sophisticated looking lady. Along the way Brad packs in many an extraneous sex scene, mostly posited as part of her training/testing. These include humping Alan Stafford in a public men's room, lesbian sex with delicious Tanya and a gang-bang in a movie theater that is supposedly playing Wicked's direct-to-video release "Kung Fu Nurses a Go Go", a cheap plug.

Picture climaxes at a dinner party turned into orgy where Spears unveils his creation to horny friends, including a boutique sales lady Charisma Cappelli who he has previously bedded on the pretext of forgetting to take his credit card with him.

Finale has a good plot twist I hadn't anticipated, but that leads to an utterly pat ending in which Brad unconvincingly contrives to make Spears repentant (utterly phony, poorly acted) and Alli emerging as a liberated new woman.

Spears' one-note sarcasm and cold performance stinks, and makes one wonder if perhaps a more charismatic and subtle Adult actor could have been hired to play the Richard Gere role -certainly Marcus London comes to mind. Alektra is on display for her fans and performs both acting and sex with energy in what ultimately devolves into "another Alektra Blue title from Wicked".
