Good idea, just very poorly executed

I just watched this on Netflix because I thought it sounded like a cool idea. The problem is that these guys are just not mature enough (on many levels) to take on such a profound subject. They are very narrow-minded and they didn't take advantage of how great this documentary could have been. I think they just thought of it and immediately hit the road. They needed some lessons in how to interview a stranger, or at least an outline for what they wanted to discover from each interview. It seemed like they just walked up to people and tried to wing-it. The problem is that you have to be well educated and witty to pull off something like that. I don't want to sound mean about these guys, but they just aren't very witty, and they don't seem to be very well educated. If you aren't close friends with someone involved with this production, you probably won't enjoy it.

Juvenile Vanity Project

The 4 very young 20-year-old guys featured in this documentary attempt to portray themselves as spiritual seekers, but come across as glib and smug about their own version of Christianity. I do not think it's done with malice but tremendous naiveté. I watched the entire film anticipating a ripening of young souls that sadly never arrived.

The Rasta poet was the most heartening moment of the film. Especially cringe-worthy was the Philadelphia segment where one guy is annoyed by the number of Asian tourists visiting the Liberty Bell so mocks a Chinese accent. Really?

I do appreciate their willingness to be honest and wish them well.

Would highly recommend, especially for the youth (upper middle/high school grades)! Four young Christian guys take a US tour and interview random folks regarding their religious beliefs. They interview people from all walks of life, including atheists, Mormons, and Scientologists, just to name a few. A perfect movie for a weekend church lock-in or camp. I found it to be thought provoking and a great movie to introduce to the youth group at church. It shows how the four young guys had the courage and conviction to stand up for what they believed in as they honestly assessed the beliefs of others. This in turn allowed them reflect and take home where our country's shortcoming lie. Funny, captivating, and seeks to show the true meaning of life.
