The “Conjuring” universe continues to expand.
New Line is moving forward on its third iteration of the “Conjuring” franchise with “The Conjuring 3[/link].” David Leslie Johnson is on board to script. James Wan will serve as producer through his Atomic Monster production company with Peter Safran.
The logline for “The Conjuring 3” is under wraps. As with the first two “Conjuring” films, which starred Patrick Wilson and Vera Farmiga as paranormal researchers Lorraine and Ed Warren, the story will be taken from the Warrens’ case files.
Johnson wrote “The Conjuring 2,” which went on to gross $320 million worldwide. The news comes two weeks after New Line launched development on “The Crooked Man,” based on the malevolent character in “The Conjuring 2” in the the fourth film spinoff from Wan’s 2013 hit “The Conjuring.” The others are “Annabelle,” “Annabelle: Creation” and “The Nun.”

Sleepy Hollow had kind of a throwback episode last night as they put a wicked twist on the Red Riding Hood story, putting Molly in immediate danger. Luckily, the team of Ichabod, Diana, & Jenny were able to persevere and put an end to the big bad wolf. Next week's episode has the team dealing with a supernatural infection that originates from a viral video, of all places, and they quickly find themselves in a race against the clock to discover a cure before the whole town goes down. Elsewhere, Molly has another ominous vision that doesn't paint a pretty picture for the future of humanity. Check out the promo for episode eight, titled "Sick Burn," below: A Curse Goes Viral On An All-new "Sleepy Hollow" Friday, February 24, On Fox When internet sensation Logan Macdonald comes to town, a supernatural infection hits, via a viral video. To paraphrase Ichabod’s words to Jenny: Evil tend to flare up just when you think it’s existence is no more. This sums up every single episode of Sleepy Hollow thus far. Doesn’t matter how many evil creatures Team Witness defeats, more will pop up in their place. In tonight’s episode, things take an interesting turn as the show takes a page out of the Grimms brother’s book. Ichabod’s fascination with modern-day toys in this episode amuses me greatly. The toys of today certainly put the toys of the past to shame. We have robots that transform, dolls that speak and cars that you

Like the varying voices who shape James McAvoy’s performance(s) in Split, my mind is filled with conflicting opinions about M. Night Shyamalan’s latest thriller. McAvoy’s numerous appearances make for a transfixing theatrical experience, while devotion to parbaked themes and collegiate merit make for a jumbled, messy commentary on trauma. Shyamalan plays towards empowering the victim, but loses control of sci-fi terror in doing so. Anya Taylor-Joy proves to be the new genre “It” girl, there’s strength in numbers and we certainly need to talk about Kevin (McAvoy’s true character) – so why the feelings of indifference?
Kevin Wendell Crumb (McAvoy) suffers from a severe case of multiple personalities, twenty-three of whom reside inside his singular body. It’s one of these inhabitants who decides to kidnap three teenage girls with ceremonial intent. Casey (Taylor-Joy), Claire (Haley Lu Richardson) and Marcia (Jessica Sula) are in the »
