Am I the only one who remembers this show?

This was one of my favorite shows to watch back in the mid 80s. I am surprised no one else remembers this cartoon. To be honest, I forgot about it too for a while, but I always remembered the roller-skating dog, Laura. She was my favorite. I was digging through the attic and found my old VHS tapes, and some of them were recordings I made of some episodes from this show. After re-watching them, I immediately remembered how much I loved this. Although I was already in my early twenties by the time this came out, I thought it was the funniest show ever made. I think I came across it for the first time ever by turning on the TV and this came on. The show took place in Canine City, and the main character was a blue dog named Timothy. There was also a yellow dog named Sid, who was extremely clumsy and caused a lot of problems for the dogs. The pink dog, Laura, was obsessed with roller skating and called herself "The Queen of Roller Skating" and she never stopped talking about how important she was, and she roller skated almost everywhere, even inside a hotel. She was my favorite character and for the longest time the only thing I remembered from this show, as I mentioned above. A white dog named Matt was cruel and enjoyed doing bad things to Timothy, and occasionally had a pack of bulldogs with him. There were many other characters in there as well. The show's animation is choppy and low-budget, with thick outlines and cheap looking backgrounds. The art style is actually pretty bizarre, but it makes the show more appealing. This show was geared towards an older audience, which is probably why I liked it so much. The show's production company would later create shows more geared towards preschoolers such as Arthur and Caillou, which are well-known today. During the 80s, they mostly dubbed anime and other international cartoons, such as David the Gnome from Spain. They created few original series during this time, I believe We are the Dogs was their first original series. Other original programs they did in the 80s were the Smoggies and the Madeline specials. Anyways, I think We are the Dogs is an underrated gem that deserves more attention. It is a shame how overlooked it is. I can't find it on any streaming service or YouTube, so I will continue to watch my tapes until they wear out. Sad to see such a great cartoon will soon become completely lost and forgotten.
