Nan's stormtroopers enter Fangtasia and put Eric and Pam under house arrest. They then return the next day to tell him he can kill Russell but he's totally on his own. Russell misses Talbot and decides to carry his remains around in a cut crystal bowl (with a lid). Beel and Suh-keh take a nice shower together. Jesus and Lafayette get down. Sniveling Tara is still sniveling Tara, but she does manage to attend a rape survivor self help meeting. (Interestingly...in his own way...Eric is also a trauma-survivor.) Arlene anguishes over her pregnancy. Hadley's son Hunter has the same gift as Sookie, and Hadley is afraid for him because she knows that vampires are intrigued by humans with that gift. Bill appears to have a dream (or a vision) in which he meets Claudine (the fairy). Crystal's father comes to Merlotte's, makes a scene, and Sam beats him up. (What's strange is to see all the judgmental looks Sam gets afterward.) Franklin returns and Jason kills him using a shotgun loaded with wooden bullets.

Then the show really picks up. Russell suddenly appears on a TV news set, kills the anchorman, and proceeds to explain that the VRL is presenting a false front, and that HE represents the true face of vampires.

Russell: "Why...would we seek equal rights? You...are not...our equals. We will eat you...after we eat your children. Now...time for the weather. Tiffany..."
