(S3. E6) My Live Reaction / Review for True Blood Season 3 Episode 6 ''I Got a Right to Sing the Blues''. Episode 5 was good and I gave it a rating of 9/10. Let's see if this one is better or worse. Ok now the King knows that Sookie is a telepath, what else he wants from her? And Lorena will kill Bill? Why? Poor Tara is still a prisoner, and Franklin is still insane. The Queen had it coming, framing Eric for selling the V. I feel bad for Sam's brother, his parents are awful people. Crazy cliffhanger with Lorena biting Sookie and Bill looking almost dead. Overall this episode was pretty entertaining. My rating is 9/10.

Warning: Spoilers
Bill stakes one of Russell's vamps, then goes to spike Russell. Russell laughs at him, announcing that he's over 3,000 years old, and clearly not afraid of Bill. Eric tells Russell that he doesn't know what Sookie is, exactly, but he suspects she's valuable. Lorena looks lost, as usual. All she can think of is Bill. Tablot is OUTRAGED!!!! (that they made a big mess in the foyer).

Lorena (to Sookie): "I would just love to RIP you open and wear your ribcage as a hat". (Yep. She actually said that. Some way...some how...this once noble show has managed to dive bomb right into the toilet.)

We're then treated (and I use that term loosely) to seeing Jason roll around on the ground with Crystal. (I think between the TWO of them their IQ's wouldn't reach too far beyond 100.)

Russell: "Tell me what you are, Miss Stackhouse". Sookie: "I'm a waitress". (This show used to have some really great lines. What happened?)

Lafayette and Jesus bond over some inane small talk that would make BtVS dialogues seem sophisticated. And Tara feeding on Franklin? It made Reefer Madness look like Gone With The Wind by comparison. Other than achieving new levels of pure ludicrousness, this episode delivers nothing BUT the blues.

Russell visits Sophie-Anne. He proposes to her. She reluctantly accepts. And Lorena tortures Bill -- but not nearly as much as Bill tortures the audience with his mind numbing monologue(s). (Just when you thought this season had hit rock bottom...there's this monstrosity of an episode.) Oh...and Tara bludgeons Franklin...but again...not nearly as much as this episode bludgeons its audience. It's a shame the rating system doesn't have a "zero", because that's what "I Got A Right To Sing The Blues" deserves.

(Oh...and Sookie's scream at the end...is nothing like the screams of misery ripping through my brain as this total black hole of an episode came to an end.)
