In the scene where James Anderson takes over bathing Ritchie in the bathroom from Margaret, Ritchie pulls James's electric shaver into the water! Luckily, the shaver wasn't plugged in! I guess using electrical equipment around children and bathtime wasn't a safety concern in the 1950s!

Warning: Spoilers
The spoiler is: time marches on! The parents Jim and Margaret agree to take over babysitting duties for Betty. Big surprise, the younger two sibs are none too pleased with a cute little attention magnet in the house. But, kids are not miniature adults and so react accordingly- as children. They are not being "brats". In many old TV shows, there would be a lesson to be learned. In families we can all be selfish at times, but love and understanding goes a long way. That's how you teach children, by example. FYI, homes weren't child proofed then, there were no carseats or a lot of other safety measures. Somehow the human race survived!
