Storm 2: The 1st Was Better, But There is Excitement Along the Way ***
3 August 2009 | by (United States) – See all my reviews

Part 2 of "The Storm" is good but the first part was even better. This part is filled with clichés. A baby born during the height of the hurricane to symbolize that we shall endure, we've seen that before. The friends of our major player succumbing to injuries from the devastation. The scientific nonsense that is spewed forth in a language that only my high school chemistry teacher could understand.

Ironically, the real villain in this movie, Treat Williams, has a very limited role in the second part. When all the scientific work is being put forth to save the universe from the calamities of the storm, Williams sits there quietly only to explode when it appears that our scientists have discovered a way to get out of this mess.

The storm scenes are done devastatingly well but Larry Levinson productions has brought about some old themes.
