Storyline

Something is not as it should be. This feeling is shared by three people, otherwise unconnected. A young woman gets trapped inside her own apartment as strangers start gathering outside her door. In a desolate house, a depressed man is forced to act upon a letter he receives from his dead wife. And in the heart of the city, a guest at a cafe sees a strange face in the crowd and cannot let go of its expression. In this film, we get to meet people trapped inside their private nightmares, fighting unknown threats. Written by Anonymous

3 arty stories
8 November 2011 | by (Midian) – See all my reviews

Thanks to some friends in Sweden who were at a horror convention they sold me this as a horror. On the cover of the DVD you cant get anything regarding what's it all about because it's written in Swedish. Nikolaj Marquez Von Hage has made this as his only effort so far so he was a stranger for me.

One of the actors, Christian Magdu, did appear in True Blood but was uncredited. The others did their first appearance in this flick, others have done Swedish flicks. The acting was all okay in this hard to review flick.

The flick contains 3 stories, the first one the best one with strange moments. A girl is trapped at her apartment, while people outside are doing strange things. The second story is all about some lost family and getting possessed by thinking about them due they all received a letter or email after their death. Those both stories I liked but the third one was just someone who wants to follow one of the crowd.

But what makes it a horror, well, there's no red stuff in it but the first story gives a post apocalyptic feeling somewhere between science-fiction and horror. The second has a 'The Ring' atmosphere over it. It's the only part that a small portion of blood is in it. The third I won't go in that story.

But it's the way it's filmed and edited that gives it an overall arty look. It isn't for everyone but Lars Von Trier and David Lynch fans will love it.
