Storyline

Five years ago David's life came undone when his young daughter fell victim to a brutal attack. The subsequent emotional fallout cost him his marriage and his job. Handicapped by guilt and anguish David abandoned his past and alienated himself. He took a second rate job as a security guard and plodded on - his wounds concealed but unhealed. All it would take is a scratch for them to open wide and consume him.... During a routine security inspection, David discovers a young Serbian girl stowed in the cab of a truck. Her sister and other girls have been murdered - all victims of a perfidious human trafficking racket. She pleads for his help. This is his chance at retribution. This time he will champion the young girl that places her trust in him. But David is taking on Goliath and he has his back against the wall and a gun at his head. Enlisting the help of a woman's refuge counselor, David embarks on a do or die mission to save the girl. Written by Anna Galvin

Goofs

Much of the dialog doesn't match the actors lips movements. Examples: when the girl says "don't tell me I just slept with a security guard" and the other actors lines when LDP meets him in the truck. See more »

Lou Diamond Philips is back! ....
20 January 2012 | by (United States) – See all my reviews

I was wondering where LDP went a couple of years ago, and suddenly *and oddly* he keeps on popping up in after midnight movies...

But I really, really want LDP to get back on the mainstream circuit... and even to a spot where he finds his niche. Psycho badass? Yea, he got game! A gay rodeo clown? OK. He could pull that off.. corrupt mid level CIA operative in Moldova with a cocaine habit? Sure.. with the right vehicle I KNOW he can do well. I am rooting for his success (I did not know I was this much of a fan - heee).

This movie was flat, fine. But it was great seeing LDP kick some buttock! There also was a nice exchange between him and the corporate lawyer that developed satisfyingly. And a few great personal moments where the reactions of the actors to each other was very personal... nice interplay. LDP looks good, it was free on HDTV... and with a bowl of ice cream and the cat I must give this film a very solid 7 for personal entertainment value.
