The basic story is partly about President Franklin D. Roosevelt's relationship with two of his mistresses, which is done with the presumed knowledge of his legal wife, Eleanor.

Roosevelt drives Daisy to a secluded meadow and coaxes her into giving him a hand job in the car. Only rhythmic movement is shown on-screen but it may make viewers feel uncomfortable.

3 "f" words 5 G-D words, 4 uses of "damn", 2 hells, and 1 use of S.O.B.

Roosevelt is a frequent drinker and argues about it with his mother whose husband died a drunk. All of the guests have some drinks at some point.

Given the era, most of the characters smoke frequently.

Rated R for brief sexuality
