Bryce Dallas Howard Stars In New Trailer For Disney’s Pete’S Dragon

14 June 2016 12:00 PM, PDT | WeAreMovieGeeks.com | See recent WeAreMovieGeeks.com news »

Watch the brand new trailer for Disney’s Pete’S Dragon, featuring spectacular never-before-seen footage of Pete’s dragon, Elliot.

See the film when it flies onto the big screen in 3D August 12.

A reimagining of Disney’s cherished family film, Pete’S Dragon is the adventure of an orphaned boy named Pete and his best friend Elliot, who just so happens to be a dragon.

The movie stars Bryce Dallas Howard (“Jurassic World”), Oakes Fegley (“This is Where I Leave You”), Wes Bentley (“The Hunger Games”), Karl Urban (“Star Trek”), Oona Laurence (“Southpaw”), Isiah Whitlock, Jr. (“Cedar Rapids”) and Oscar® winner Robert Redford (“Captain America: The Winter Soldier”). The film, which is directed by David Lowery (“Ain’t Them Bodies Saints”), is written by Lowery & Toby Halbrooks based on a screenplay by Malcolm Marmorstein and produced by Jim Whitaker (“The Finest Hours,” “Friday Night Lights”), with Barrie M. Osborne (“The Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring,” “The Great Gatsby”) serving as executive producer.

For years, old wood carver Mr. Meacham (Robert Redford) has delighted local children with his tales of the fierce dragon that resides deep in the woods of the Pacific Northwest. To his daughter, Grace (Bryce Dallas Howard), who works as a forest ranger, these stories are little more than tall tales…until she meets Pete (Oakes Fegley).

Pete is a mysterious 10-year-old with no family and no home who claims to live in the woods with a giant, green dragon named Elliot. And from Pete’s descriptions, Elliot seems remarkably similar to the dragon from Mr. Meacham’s stories. With the help of Natalie (Oona Laurence), an 11-year-old girl whose father Jack (Wes Bentley) owns the local lumber mill, Grace sets out to determine where Pete came from, where he belongs, and the truth about this dragon.

The Brothers Grimsby | Review

11 March 2016 11:00 AM, PST | ioncinema | See recent ioncinema news »

This is England: Leterrier Transports Raunchy, Nonsensical Comedy

If Adam Sandler was still interested in generating laughs, he might have eventually turned out something as ridiculous and outré as The Brothers Grimsby, another vehicle designed specifically by and for button pushing star Sacha Baron Cohen, in which he stars as another odd, social misfit bumbling about in his own particularly distressing comedy of errors fashion. Helmed by Louis Leterrier, (now completely divorced from the slickly serious Transporter realm, where he cut his teeth as an acolyte/product of Luc Besson before moving on to Hollywood fare with the 2008 The Incredible Hulk rehash), it’s a completely asinine, adolescently minded bit of perversity. It also happens to have its fair share of shockingly extravagant moments, and these, along with Cohen’s odd penchant for political subtexts and sometimes innocent charm makes his latest offering disarming, and surprisingly funny. Though it’s »

Kalisto Vs Ryback At WWE WrestleMania 32?

6 March 2016 10:31 PM, PST | Obsessed with Film | See recent Obsessed with Film news »

WWE.com

WWE officials are currently discussing the idea of U.S. Champion Kalisto defending his belt against Ryback at WrestleMania 32.

It was at one time assumed that Kalisto would continue his feud with Alberto Del Rio into WrestleMania, but it appears those plans are being scrapped, according to a recent episode of Wrestling Observer Live. The potential bout with Ryback is being explored with Kalisto scheduled to wrestle Del Rio and Ryback in triple threat matches at WWE live events in the coming weeks.

Ryback has also been teasing a heel turn of late, so it would appear one of the motivations for that turn would be the potential Kalisto match. Kalisto is currently being marketed as a new star directed toward the Latino community and children, and he has been wildly popular with this crowd so far. The ultimate goal is for him to fill a giant void »

WWE Injury Updates On Charlotte And Emma

WWE.com

Both WWE Divas’ Champion Charlotte and Nxt competitor Emma suffered injuries at live events on Friday, but despite the frightening scenes in Minneapolis and Cleveland, neither diva will be missing any ring time.

During a match with Becky Lynch in Minneapolis, Mn, an errant knee caught Charlotte in the nose, drawing a significant amount of blood and forcing the official in charge to stop the match. Becky was reported to be visibly concerned as her rival was helped to the back, but the very next day, Charlotte tweeted that she was “all good.” Sure enough, she was back in action Saturday night, defeating Becky at a live event in Cedar Rapids, Ia.

The same night that Charlotte was injured, Emma took on Asuka at an Nxt event in Cleveland, Oh. That match was also stopped prematurely, as the referee called for the bell after Asuka floored Emma with a stiff kick. »

The Original 'Good Times' Cast Are Plotting a Reunion Movie

As we already know, Sony Pictures and producer Scott Rudin are developing a feature film based on the 1970s hit sitcom "Good Times" - news that, as I recall, many of you weren't too enthused by - and "Black-Ish" creator Kenya Barris was hired last summer to pen the proposed film's scipt, apparently replacing Phil Johnston ("Wreck-It Ralph" and "Cedar Rapids") who was initially hired. No director is attached yet. Rudin will produce the film with Eli Bush, with a story (as was initially revealed in 2013) that will be set in the 1960s, although we know nothing more than that, as in what specific story the film will tell (likely about a black »

'Brothers Grimsby' Red Band Trailer #2 Is Definitely Nsfw

11 February 2016 9:56 AM, PST | MovieWeb | See recent MovieWeb news »

With the March 11 release date getting closer and closer for Sony Pictures' comedy The Brothers Grimsby, the studio has released the second red band trailer for this upcoming comedy starring Sacha Baron Cohen. This new footage features some bizarre situations and some R-rated language, which shouldn't be watched by viewers under the age of 18. In related news, Sacha Baron Cohen also stopped by Jimmy Kimmel Live! last night, where he debuted possibly one of the strangest clips in late-night TV history.

Before the clip aired Jimmy Kimmel revealed that they couldn't show the whole clip on the air, since it is "extremely graphic," so what they did was show a portion of this scene that was safe for TV, and then cut away to show TV viewers the audiences reaction to the scene. Even Jimmy Kimmel and Guillermo Rodriguez went into the audience to watch this apparently outrageous scene unfold. »

Hulu is bullish on the potential opportunities stemming from virtual reality. The streaming service provider, which just picked up a psychological thriller series starring Hugh Laurie, has been investing a large portion of its time on experimenting with and developing various Vr apps and content for future release.

Hulu’s Svp of Experience Ben Smith told Variety at the publication’s Entertainment Summit during CES 2016 the streaming video platform will release its first batch of Vr content and apps in the spring. The streaming platform is already working on 3D “viewing environments” within its own Vr app, as well as a Vr short film from RocketJump. According to Smith, Hulu’s main focus has been on virtual reality over the last several months, “trying things, seeing what works, what doesn’t work.”
