Steve Carell's 'Terrible, Horrible, No Good, Very Bad Day' First Trailer

8 May 2014 10:25 AM, PDT | firstshowing.net | See recent FirstShowing.net news »

All right, well, it's not just Steve Carell that's having a bad day since the film is actually called Alexander and the Terrible, Horrible, No Good, Very Bad Day, but the young titular boy's entire family slowly begins to have the worst day of all their lives. Complete with an introduction from Carell himself, the first trailer has arrived showing off the silly and goofy family comedy that we all expected, but we're not necessarily excited for. This just isn't our brand of humor, and it really seems to be over-the-top. That doesn't mean younger kids and average families won't enjoy it, but there's just nothing special here. Watch! The first trailer for Alexander and the Terrible, Horrible, No Good, Very Bad Day from Yahoo: Alexander and the Terrible, Horrible, No Good, Very Bad Day is directed by Miguel Arteta (Cedar Rapids) and written by first-time scribe Rob Lieber. The top 25 underappreciated films of 2011

12 March 2014 4:15 AM, PDT | Den of Geek | See recent Den of Geek news »

Odd List Ryan Lambie Simon Brew 13 Mar 2014 - 05:44

Our voyage through history's underappreciated films arrives at the year 2011, and a great year for lesser-seen gems...

Even a cursory glance at the top 10 grossing films of 2011 reveals something strange: nine of the entries are sequels. Harry Potter And The Deathly Hallows: Part 2 brought the fantasy franchise to a close with a staggering $1.3bn haul. Transformers: Dark Of The Moon wasn't too far behind with just over $1.1bn. On Stranger Tides continued the Pirates Of The Caribbean series' wave of success, despite mixed reviews.

Elsewhere in the top 10, you'll find another Twilight, a fourth Mission: Impossible, a second Kung Fu Panda, a fifth Fast, another Hangover, and further Cars. Standing alone on the list is The Smurfs, the adaptation of Peyo's Belgian comic strip. In fact, 2011 saw the release of no fewer than 28 sequels - the most we've yet seen in any given year. »
