Quotes
Gregory Parker:
Helen, listen to me. You haven't hurt anyone. You haven't threatened anyone, and that's good. It means you'll be with your kids again sooner rather than later. But if you raise that gun right now, everything changes. So please, please just put the gun down.
Sam Braddock:
[
pointing his gun at Helen - whispering to himself]
Don't you dare. Don't make me go there.

Hi, wanted to recognize the actor Kathleen Robertson for a riveting portrayal of Helen Mitchell in the Custody episode of Flashpoint.
I've seen some of her other work, and she always shines, but I just viewed the Custody episode, and felt so moved by her performance that I wanted to express my reaction.
Generally speaking, this type of series could be so cliché and derivative of 70's era crime shows. Flashpoint crashes through the stereotype and avoids the morass of rote plots with intelligent writing that reflects 21st century issues and conflicts. Very hip and relevant.
When I first saw Enrico Colantoni on screen in the first episode, I was very skeptical about his casting for this type program. I mean, after all, he totally nailed his character, Eliot DiMauro in Just Shoot Me. I must admit I did not ever view his subsequent series, Veronica Mars.
Not only has Enrico impressed me by bringing the warmth of Eliot into a crime drama, but has created depth and humanity in a very believable and interesting way.
Regarding Kathleen Robertson's role in the Custody episode, she was exceptional and I hope she gets bigger and better chances to show her acting brilliance!!
