Thomas finds an old engine and tries to restore him without The Fat Controller finding out.
I get to watch it all with my now 3 year old son, Roary, all the Pixar movies, and of course Thomas the Tank Engine.
Hero of the Rails is now mostly CGI, and it works very well, much better animated than previous series over the past 20 years.
And one thing that is an absolute blessing, Michael Angelis NOT doing all the various voices, he's fine at narration, but some of his 'impersonations' grate... very heavily! Now each train has their own voice and gives them a little more character.
My son loves it.
There's little point in going into the storyline too much, suffice to say any Thomas fans will like it, although its pretty much a retread of the Thomas' Great Discovery feature as well, instead of finding a long lost village, Thomas now finds a long lost train.
Still, kids will love it, it goes on for an hour without overstaying its welcome.
