The end of the movie does not conclude the plot and is left wide open. This was probably done as a response to the recent changes in the Bionicle toy and storyline and the plans to end it. Since the creators of the movie didn't know how well it would be received and how the story might continue, they left the ending vague on purpose. This way they wouldn't have needed to continue it directly from where it had finished, and they could have simply jumped over a full story arc for the next movie, which could have thus concentrated on the conclusion of the Bionicle story line, rather than on a side-plot. The LEGO Corporation however has, during production, axed the Bionicle toy-line, which sealed the fate of the planned movie-trilogy. No sequel will be made. See more

Considering she cannot fly, nor can we notice any signs that would show she stayed aloft by bursting water underneath her, it is impossible for her to stay that long in the air. See more
