3/10 No nudity is shown throughout the entire movie

One of the main themes of a movie is that a young 18-year old girl is pregnant out of wedlock. The actual conception isn't discussed or shown.

A young man and woman embrace passionately.

The movie is set in World War I, so there is some discussion of the war, although none of this is explicit. There is no actual footage of soldiers fighting.

Some soldiers go off to war in a train.

A man describes how his son supposedly died in the war. The son's plane crashed in flames behind enemy lines. Later, it is revealed he survived and he returns home.

A father occasionally threatens to hit or slap some of his daughters when he gets angry.

The father refers to a baby as a 'bastard child' occasionally. However, this is just because the baby was born out of wedlock.

4/10 Several of the characters smoke occasionally throughout the movie or drink alcohol.

3/10 Some children may be worried about the son who supposedly died.

Total: 15/50 This movie is very mild, but parental guidance for young viewers is recommended.
