Episode cast overview, first billed only:

Grayson and Kim are puzzled that boss Parker, whom a client demands to plead his case personally against a disgruntled ex-employee who discredits his firm's chocolate snack, demands both of them to 'assist', in fact leaves the pleading them, so Grayson resorts to a daring pep-talk. Jane meets 'her' (not Deb's) self-invited mother Elaine Bingum and most learn to know her as it goes. Fred finds himself temporarily homeless as well as neglected by Stacey and takes Elaine's advice to try dating around, while Tony Nicastro dates Jane, who also pleads the case of the victims of a hospital baby swap in surprising chapters. Did You Know?

While discussing issues in their relationship, Jane says to her mother "Thank God, I thought I was going to have to take a road trip to the desert". The character of Jane's mother is very reminiscent of a character in the film "Boys on the Side" right down to having the same first name, a mother who repairs her relationship with her daughter after the daughter takes a road trip to the desert. Good show
28 September 2009 | by (Kuwait) – See all my reviews

THis was a good episode. More of a mother's day special but never the less Jane impresses. But we saw less of Stacy's goofiness which is always nice. My GOD why can't we keep FRED. I really want Fred to stay. He brings a lot into the show, his presence is what makes the show hip and normal. THe rest are all suave or emotionally serious. I think the show lost a lot the first time he was gone and now i think its going even worse with Jane getting over Greyson's obsession. Please keep FRED on, or at least bring him a new search, i mean why is he just searching for love?? he is an angel make him grow into a human being, want to discover career choices. And please help Jane get more strong cases that are not so feminine, that challenge the DEB in her. Broaden your horizon.
