Quotes

Eliot Spencer: [on the mat getting pummeled]
Sophie Devereaux: You drugged him, didn't you?
Jed Rucker: What makes you think I would trust a bunch of lying grifters to keep their word?
Sophie Devereaux: Get the doctor, Parker. Now!
Jed Rucker: No need, it will be over in a couple of minutes.
Sophie Devereaux: Oh my, you don't get it do you. Eliot's not like other fighters. He doesn't play games. He fights to survive, that's his training. It takes all his control *not* to kill somebody. You've just made him more dangerous. You've take the safety off the gun!

Nebraskans Aren't Stupid Hicks
29 December 2010 | by (United States) – See all my reviews

I hated this episode for one reason: they made people from Omaha look like stupid hicks. One line in particular was so condescending that I almost puked. Eliot said something like, "The farms are drying up and Omaha is nothing but strip joints and pawn shops. these boys have nothing else to do." Give me a break! Have you been to Omaha? I don't think the writers of an otherwise outstanding show have ever set foot in the middle of the country. Get out of LA for once and then you'll see that Nebraskans aren't idiots. They also don't have southern accents. Next time you want to produce a show that takes place other than LA, NY, or Boston, perhaps you should check out the location first.
