Manhattan Is Threatened

President Taylor asks Jack to escort President Hassan and his family to McGuire AFB; he and Renee reinforce a Secret Service detail headed by Molly O'Connor. Moments later, Taylor is contacted by Samir, who offers not to detonate the dirty bomb in exchange for Hassan. Taylor refuses to negotiate, even though Rob Weiss points out that Hassan might even consent to the trade; afterward, Weiss is approached by Gen. David Brucker, who offers to capture Hassan using a wet works team and then surrender him to Samir. Ethan Kanin blunders into the middle of this plan and suffers a heart attack, but sneaks a covert call to Jack on his cell phone; even this completely silent call arouses Jack's suspicions, and he is able to retreat and counter-ambush, defeating the mercenaries with help from Renee and Omar Hassan. They capture Adrion Bishop, the team's CO, and from him learn of the terrorists' offer. Samir, realizing that Hassan will not be handed over, instructs Tarin to deploy the radiological weapon in the Upper West Side and activate its 15-minute timer.

In summary,here the events that happened during that hour:

1.President Allison Taylor gets a call from Samir Mehran, who's threatening to detonate a nuclear device in Manhattan if the Government does not hand over President Hasssan to the terrorists but the President instead orders Hassan to be escorted to McGuire Air Force Base.

2.Rob Weiss doesn't agree with the President's decision and conspires with General Brucker to capture Hassan with a covert operation.

3.Ethan Kanin discovers Weiss' plot and tries to change his mind when he has an heart attack.

4.Jack Bauer is escorting Hassan and his family when he's attacked by Brucker's men and he learns the plot to capture Hassan.

5.Samir Mehran learns from Dana Walsh that the President will not hand over Hassan and tells Tarin Faroush to activate the bomb.

The action and suspense heats up as Samir Mehran demands that the United States government hand over President Omar Hassan within one hour or face a radiological attack in the heart of Manhattan.But President Allison asked Jack to escort Hassan and his family.Then he gets attacked by another conspirators against the White House.They try to sabotage the plan and Jack gets entangled for more as the hours go by.
