- TriviaIn an interview on Harrison Ford/Vic Mensa (2023), Harrison Ford explained how the filmmakers digitally de-aged him for the flashback sequence: "They have this artificial intelligence program that can go through every foot of film that Lucasfilm owns. Because I did a bunch of movies for them, they have all this footage, including film that wasn't printed. So they can mine it from where the light is coming from, from the expression. I don't know how they do it. But that's my actual face. Then I put little dots on my face and I say the words and they make [it]. It's fantastic." At 80, he is the oldest actor to be de-aged in a movie, surpassing Al Pacino, who was 79 when he was de-aged in The Irishman (2019).
- GoofsIndy identifies the half lion half eagle creature carved on Archimedes' tomb as a Phoenix. The creature is actually a griffin and bears little or no resemblance to a Phoenix.
- Quotes
Dr. Voller: You should have stayed in New York.
Indiana Jones: You should have stayed out of Poland.
- Crazy creditsThe Paramount Pictures logo appears normally, and does not fade into a mountain-shaped opening shot, the only film in the Indiana Jones films to do so.
Instead, the Lucasfilm logo fades into a lock on a door in 1944 Germany.
- Alternate versionsOn the International prints of the film, the original variant of Disney's 100th anniversary logo (with 100 YEARS OF WONDER tagline) was shown as the first logo instead of tagline-less variant of the same logo.

Indiana Jones 5: A movie that should never have been made
Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny is the fifth and probably final instalment in the legendary adventure film series. Unfortunately, the film fails to match the quality and charm of its predecessors and disappoints on many levels.
Mads Mikkelsen as Voller is one of the film's few bright spots. He gives his character a menacing presence, but his motivation is only superficially explained and is incomprehensible to me. The soundtrack by John Williams is also atmospheric and fitting, using and varying the familiar themes of the series.
Unfortunately, these are the only positive aspects of the film. The story is full of logical holes, unexplained coincidences and implausible twists. The plot jumps from one location to another without a common thread or inner logic.
The visual effects are also disappointing. Harrison Ford's deaging is clearly visible and looks unnatural. The CGI effects are poorly done and do not live up to the film's high budget. Many of the sets look fake and artificial as they were obviously shot in front of computer monitors. The action scenes are uninspired and boring as they recycle many elements from the previous films.
The characters are also poorly written and acted. Harrison Ford looks tired and bored as Indiana Jones, whose best days are behind him. Phoebe Waller-Bridge is miscast as Helena Shaw, who is supposed to be rebellious and quick-witted, but often comes across as a petulant little child. Her actions are incomprehensible and her relationship with Indiana Jones is implausible. The other supporting characters are clichéd and one-dimensional.
The humour in the film is forced and doesn't work at all. Most of the jokes are flat and silly. The film tries to imitate the charm and wit of its predecessors, but fails miserably.
As a fan of the series, Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny is a huge disappointment. The film is a collection of bad ideas, bad effects, bad characters and bad humour. It is an unworthy conclusion to an iconic film series that deserved much better.
It seems that this sequel is all about making money again and not about making a decent film.
