Just great

Bobby (Sean G. Terjoto) is a lonely Asian-American teenager working at his family's laundromat. He's gay but can't tell anyone. The local prom queen drops by with her boyfriend to get her dress fixed. After she leaves Bobby puts on the dress and imagines his own type of prom!

Quick, funny short. This could have become depressing or maudlin but it doesn't. It's light-hearted and makes excellent use of the songs "We Belong" by Pat Benatar and "Don't You Forget About Me" by Simple Minds. I saw this as part of a program of gay shorts at the Provincetown Film Festival. The crowd LOVED it and applauded long and loud after it. I give it an 8.
